C-Box – characteristics and description
C-Box is deployed in industrial applications in the field of SPC quality assurance and CAQ (computer-aided quality control), primarily in situations where time critical, multi-channel measurement is required.
Power to run the device and the associated Mitutoyo LGS key is provided as standard by means of a 230-volt integrated mains network element. The LGS key can be reset (Clear) at any time, either by command or by pressing the key.
All measuring devices operating in multi-channel measurement mode are time-triggered; high processing speeds provided by state-of-the-art multi-processor technology ensure accurate measurement results.
An external foot switch can be connected to the C-Box for the comfortable transmission of measured data to the relevant software. Box activity is displayed by an array of status LEDs, permitting operational control of the device.
C-Box equipment and connection options
C-Box is provided with up to 24 simultaneous Mitutoyo Digimatic [?] ports.
All C-Boxes support the BOBE EAI488 command set. C-Boxes are available with a slightly modified Mitutoyo command and data format, allowing them to be operated with quality assurance data software exclusively configured for MUX 50-type Mitutoyo interfaces.
